Food: AMAZING, no complaints. All the dishes were fantastic!! Service: The guy was a little grumpy and really strict since the restaurant gets super busy and we only had a time limit of 1hr 45mins to eat (for a work dinner for party of 18). Also, over the phone they were a little harsh when I was uncertain on how many people would show up. I had a colleague who was vegetarian and when he asked to order more veg dishes, the waiter said "but you guys already ordered a lot of food". Ambiance: It's in a fun area of Boston on BU campus so tons to do around. Super walkable and accessible to the green line. Inside the restaurant it's like a typical Chinese restaurant, very busy.

Victoria's Seafood Restaurant | Allston, Boston Overall: 8.5/10 Salty Egg Twin Lobster Rating: 8.4/10 Fresh lobster served straight out of the fryer. Bits of salted egg yolk coat the shell and meat of the lobster, imparting a savory umami flavor that pairs super will with the natural sweetness of the lobster. Only downside is that since it's all fried, it was hard to distinguish between shell and meat. I think I ate a lot of shell, that day. The menu says market price; ours came out to $66 for two lobsters. Duck Tongue w/ Chives Rating: 8.6/10 Did not expect this to be my favorite dish! Tender duck tongue stir fried with refreshing green chives. The tongues themselves do have bones in them, but they're so soft that I just treated them like cartilage and then whole. It's on their 'tonight's special' menu, which is written entirely in Chinese. Fried Fish w/ BBQ Pork Hotpot Rating: 8/10 Lightly battered fish with tofu and pork belly, kept hot in a clay pot. The subtle sweetness of the sauce accentuated the flavor of the fish! Tofu and pork belly could've used more flavor. Pork Belly w/ Taro Rating: 8.1/10 Melt-in-your-mouth tender, fatty pork belly that has soaked up the sweet and savory sauce it's bathed in. The taro, though not as flavorful offered a pleasant contrast to the pork through its soft, potato-like texture and sweet flavor. I would go as far as to say that Victoria's Seafood Restaurant serves better Chinese food than restaurants in Chinatown! Food was served quickly, and each dish was really flavorful! And the price? I mean, come on. I went as a group of four, and everything came out to $44 per person! And that's including tax and tip! Keep in mind, we ordered two lobsters!!! Needless to say, some here if you want authentic Chinese food that isn't from Chinatown. Be warned, this place gets busy very quickly.

This restaurant was really busy on Sunday night. People lined up for seats. I grabbed to-go and I'm glad I took the recommendation to try the black pepper beef. I really liked the beef with long stream beans - tender meat and crispy beans just the way I like it. The stirfry was served on top of a generous amount of rice. Generally, great value and fast preparation . It looks like a good spot for individuals who want to grab a fast bite, as well as groups of friends to experience the authentic vibe and share dishes. I heard good words about the seafood as well. I might try next time.

This place has remained consistent despite all these years and the pandemic! This has become our go to place when we're craving some great Chinese food. Some new favorites we've been ordering (as of 12/2023): - Canada Clam w/ Black Bean Sauce - $24.95: Despite the price if you're a fan of clams this is a great dish to have. Spice level is perfect! - Sweet and Sour Pork - $17.50: Hands down our favorite place for sweet and sour pork. Definitely recommend eating this in the restaurant to maintain that crispy exterior! A must have whenever we visit. - Salt and Pepper Squid Rice Plate - $13.50: Great value. Perfectly seasoned with ample spice on the side for those who crave it. - Beef w/ Vegetable Egg Noodle - $14.50: Gravy sauce combined with the crunch of the noodles is a new favorite of ours. I've made this at home before and the convenience of not having to clean up makes this a worthwhile dish for us :D

Was able to get a table pretty quickly on a Saturday night. The wait staff was pretty nice & friendly for a Chinese restaurant. The inside definitely reminds you of the Chinese restaurants you go to with your Asian parents. I've been here a few times and the food is always good & reliable. They're also pretty fast. The fried rice here is pretty good. The chicken breast was a little more dry than usual but the flavor was still good. The flavor of these beans are always great. I love coming when I don't want to cook but I want something safe that I know I'll enjoy.

Salt & Pepper Squid 5/5 Garlic String Beans 4/5 Eggplant with Garlic and Pork 4/5 BBQ Pork and Fish Hot Pot 4/5 A solid go-to place for Chinese food. The wait to be seated can be long at certain times, but once seated, service is quick. I usually don't have to wait long to get my order in or for my food to be served. The interior of the place is nothing fancy. It can get quite lively during busy times and has the "restaurant you can go out with your family for Chinese food" kind-of vibes. If its busy and you don't want to wait, their takeout service is also really quick. Usually no more than 15-20min from the time of order. Street parking only.

Victoria's Twin Lobsters with ginger and scallions was one of my favorite party dishes back in 2002-2004 when I lived in Brookline, MA. I visited Victoria Seafood Restaurant today in 20 years. The same marquee, with a partially removed price for Twin Lobster Special on it, was already enough to bring me good memories of my life 20 years ago. The only difference that I found inside the restaurant was that you had to scan QR code to be on the wait list, since there were so many people waiting to be seated. I found the more than 20 year-old back-lit photo of the Bank of China HongKong, designed by I.M. Pei, on the wall of inner seating area. Although we had to wait 40+ minutes to be seated, the foods were great enough to make us feel that the wait was worthwhile. Twin lobsters with ginger and scallion sauce was still the best here 5+. Probably you will find the same dish on every table. Squids with salt and pepper was also very tasty 5+. Red peppers were a nice addition to give a slight hint of spiciness to it. A medium-size egg drop soup was more than enough for two - don't order two mediums for two, since you will never be able to finish them, unless they are the only one you would have. One of my friends asked me to recommend some restaurants to try in Boston Area; Out of a few suggestions from me, his family decided to visit twice here during his Boston tour. Highly recommend for a 4-6+ people party with families and friends.

Staff and Service: - Seated right away around 7:30pm on a Monday - Staff checked on us and were quick to help us, take our order, and bring the food out Food: - Beef fried rice: good flavor fried rice with chunks of ground beef - Sweet and sour chicken: huge chunks of battered chicken. Flavor was good, but the batter to chicken ratio was off, often leaving us with bites of just the batter and no chicken - Garlic baby Bok choy: super flavorful! This dish came with a lot of Bok choy and the small pieces made this easy to eat - Seafood pan fried noodles: nice balance of the crunchy noodles with the noodles that had softened with the side - Roasted pork: juicy and tender Miscellaneous: - Street parking available - Located close to the BU campus, so make sure to watch out for pedestrians! - Large tables available for groups or smaller tables for smaller groups
